Any configuration of Viseum’s 60°- 360° intelligent CCTV camera array, working with any one of Viseum’s DVR camera controllers, is known as the Viseum Intelligent Moving Camera or Viseum IMC, and the solution to the problem of wide area security.
How it works
Fixed contextual view 60°-360° surveillance CCTV cameras are the ‘all seeing eyes’ of Viseum outdoor surveillance camera technology. These surveillance cameras constantly and automatically monitor all individuals, groups of people and vehicles in their field of view. Particular, predefined activity in certain areas of the PTZ CCTV camera installation then automatically control the 360° intelligent PTZ CCTV camera to zoom into and follow that activity. It is also very easy to instruct the Viseum outdoor surveillance CCTV camera in what areas to look for activity and what areas to ignore or de-prioritise.
Each year, security organisations around the world waste millions of euro, and many thousands of man-hours attempting to pinpoint and retrieve just a few seconds of crucial, viable video evidence from days or even months of stored video footage.
Frustratingly, all too frequently these efforts result, in nothing more than a lengthy report which apologises for lack of CCTV evidence available, because the incident did not occur close up to the CCTV camera, or was missed completely because the camera was pointing in the wrong direction.
Viseum offers instant video management software solutions to index video evidence and find this information rapidly, and surveillance camera monitoring software to deliver close-up evidence of incidents when needed. Moreover, the Viseum IMC camera is a modular hardware configured multiple camera unit and can be used in the following deployment options:
Intelligent CCTV camera system – intelligent moving camera (IMC) equipment:
180°- 360° intelligent CCTV camera array
Up to 7 high resolution CCTV cameras in one unit for wide contextual view evidence with each-up incident:
- 1, up to 6, high resolution fixed contextual view surveillance cameras for 60° up to 360° event detection coverage.
- 1 high resolution pan, tilt and zoom– for close up evidence – Viseum AiPTZ, Pelco Spectra, Esprit or Bosch MIC series.
- High performance dual core computer (various models to suit requirements).
- Intelligent Virtual Operator Software (iVOS) CCTV monitoring video content analysis (VCA) software, for intelligent automated target detection, selection and PTZ camera control.
- Integrated (Digital Video Recorder) software with 30 days local storage (for primary use or backup storage).
Alternatively, all cameras, or typically just the one, can be fed into any other storage solution and patched though to Viseum’s DVR camera controller.
The intelligent 360° CCTV panoramic surveillance camera has the following four main deployment options:
Retrofit of existing CCTV installation:
Any existing legacy PTZ cameras can be retrofitted with Viseum IMC hardware and software to ensure that existing CCTV infrastructures can be used to accomodate the Viseum security solution.
- Viseum IMC cameras integrate seamlessly as plug-and-play with all analogue systems.
- Any one of Viseums software modules adds significant value to an existing legacy system.
Permanent CCTV installations:
Where the PTZ security camera is fixed onto the camera pole or other street furniture, and the DVR camera controller is installed inside the camera pole cabinet or other host premises.
Re-deployable or re-locatable 360° CCTV camera installations:
Where the CCTV camera and DVR camera controller is installed together onto the outside of street lighting columns or other street furniture for temporary security deployments. Enabling re-deployable cameras to reduce or eliminate missed opportunities due to operator fatigue, and significant man hours are saved in re-deploying and adjusting CCTV security camera positions.
Rapid CCTV camera deployments:
Where the PTZ security camera and DVR camera controller is part of a completely self-contained wireless vehicle trailer unit. Using the best-in-class Viseum-driven ruggedized IMC, this ultimate mobile camera security weapon clears up crime on the largest possible scale per camera – and faster than any other crime reduction initiative short of having resident security teams permanently on alert. The Viseum mobile CCTV camera trailer’s effectiveness as a crime deterrent and evidential tool is enhanced by its ease of redeployment, and its on-board power supply. An optional battery lasting up to 3 days, and solar panels for expended periods, encourages its regular use to follow, clear up and deter, crime and disorder, whenever and wherever it occurs.
The 360° Viseum panoramic intelligent CCTV camera is used in the following 2 modes of operation:
CCTV Surveillance control room-integrated
Providing the best of both worlds, where Viseum’s machine-to-machine intelligent automation interplays with human vigilance. Viseum outdoor CCTV surveillancezoom into and follow activity of interest so that operators can watch the video wall spring to life for the very first time. The security cameras operator can always seamlessly override Viseum’s automation, but when they are too busy or simply unavailable and crimes are committed, high qualityup evidence can still get captured and the long term deterrent will always be sustained.
Remote stand-alone 360° CCTV surveillance camera
For the best available wide area, extreme distance, 360° security cover for critical infrastructures, business and residential communities, and the most cost-effective solution to cover all areas, Viseum outdoor surveillance CCTV cameras are a powerful option for standalone wide area PTZ security.
The Viseum IMC is designed for the following applications:
- Populated open space
- Unpopulated multiple or single attack intruder environments
It is designed for the following environments:
- Large outdoor wide open spaces
- Large outdoor targeted areas
It operates as an unmanned standalone camera and can be integrated for operator override when used with:
- 24/7 monitored central control rooms
- Part-time monitored central control rooms
- Manned response central control rooms
